Welfare
As a ski racing club training young athletes, SPSRC will ensure a duty of care to all members of the Club by adopting and implementing Snowsport England's "SnowSafe" policies for safeguarding children, young people and adults, and any future versions of the policies.
SPSRC has designated Club Welfare Officers who are the first point of contact for safeguarding matters within the Club and who ensure that the Club adopts and implements the policies and procedures contained in Snow Safe. For example, all club coaches and house parents undergo DBS disclosures and complete Safeguarding Training, to ensure they follow best practices when working with young athletes.
For more information, go to https://www.snowsportengland.org.uk/safeguarding/ or download the club policies relating to safeguarding and welfare below. Our Club Welfare Officers are Annabel Collyer-Todd and Emma McQuillan (email: welfare@spsrc.org).
